Support our veterans with a donation to Dogs That Help
This month, Scott Credit Union is hosting a collection for Dogs That Help. We’ll be accepting monetary and supply donations throughout September to support this “paw-some” organization that helps veterans.
Dogs That Help is dedicated to providing service, P.T.S.D. and therapy dogs at little to no cost to veterans and others in need of assistance to gain independence and increase their quality of life. The organization places puppies in training at the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers in High Ridge, MO. There, students of the school donate their time to train the dogs. Then, Dogs That Help places them with veterans in need (primarily in the Illinois and Missouri area). This small organization is run completely by volunteers. All funds raised go towards these programs, as well as vet bills and supplies for the dogs.
Dogs That Help is in special need of:
- Financial donations for vet bills and supplies
- Puppy and adult dog food (high-protein)
- Treats
- Bowls
- Toys
- Collars and leashes
- Medium-large kennels
- Heartworm and flea prevention
- Paw wax
Donations will be accepted at all SCU locations through September 30. For more information about Dogs That Help, visit them online at www.dogsthathelp.org.
