Why Join SCU?

Scott Credit Union is member owned, member operated, and a not-for-profit organization. Any revenue generated after expenses and reserves are met is given back to the members in the form of better rates and more services. Over the past 16 years, Scott Credit Union has given back a remarkable $15.4 million to our members through the bonus dividend and loan interest rebate.

Since we are a not-for-profit cooperative, we give our earnings back to members through dividends, loan interest rebates, better rates on savings, lower rates on loans, lower fees and the most convenient services possible. Our structure is the best for the consumer. When we do well, everyone benefits.

In 2023, Scott Credit Union gave a bonus dividend and loan interest rebate to its members totaling over $1,000,000. The money was directly deposited into Scott Credit Union members’ accounts1. Bonus dividends and loan rebates are exclusive perks of credit union members because of their member-owned structure. Scott Credit Union has given back millions of dollars to members through a bonus dividend and loan interest rebate over the years.

The Bonus Dividend and Loan Interest Rebate are two more examples of the value of your active membership with Scott Credit Union! We share our success with you… our members and owners! Having your accounts with Scott Credit Union can save you money. We offer similar products and services to what the conventional financial institutions have, but we do so with our members’ best interest in mind.

1The bonus dividends were paid on share savings accounts and IRA savings accounts for November (except on Holiday Club accounts). The bonus was paid on the monthly average balance of $100 or more through November 30, 2023.
