Careers at Scott Credit Union
At Scott Credit Union, we truly value our employees. While our buildings convey the Scott Credit Union name that our members know to trust, it’s the faces inside that make it much more than a place of business. These faces represent the promise that we will help each member make the most of their money, in the simplest manner possible- all while getting to know members personally by name and not by a number.
Credit unions were built upon a “people helping people” philosophy. Not only do our employees help their members and fellow teammates, they are dedicated to helping the local communities that support us. At Scott Credit Union, we encourage and incent our employees to volunteer in our local communities that so diligently support us.
If you are an energetic, hard-working individual with a passion to help others, we encourage you to explore career opportunities with the Scott Credit Union team.

Scott Credit Union has made giving back to its communities a major priority. In 2015, we donated over $370,000 and employees volunteered more than 2,400 hours to a variety of local civic efforts throughout the region. We realize that without our members and the communities in which we serve, we would not exist as a financial alternative.
We have increased community involvement in the past few years while also increasing efforts to educate consumers of the value of doing their financial business with a not-for-profit credit union. We really want people in the area to know more about the value of doing business with a credit union.
Be A V.I.P. (Volunteer Incentive Program)
Scott Credit Union created a Community Volunteer Incentive (VIP) Program to show how important community involvement is to us and to encourage our staff to volunteer their time supporting local efforts. We offer our staff a chance to win prizes for volunteering. In 2015, our staff logged more than 2,400 hours in community service at a variety of charitable or civic events or efforts. We’re extremely excited and proud of our staff for all that they do to give back to the community.
Meet the Team
2015 VIP of the Year
Janine Gurley, Financial Services Respresentative
“Making our community a better place is clearly one of Scott Credit Union’s goals. Volunteering at 77 events allowed me to spend time with my family while working with some incredibly wonderful colleagues and organizations. With Relay for Life, being in parades and ringing the bell for The Salvation Army, my 255 hours of volunteer work has given me an opportunity to show how proud I am of Scott Credit Union. This company has made my family and I better people within our community. It has given us the opportunity to attend events, talk with others and create a community where everyone feels accepted and loved. The VIP of the Year award is not just about winning; it is about becoming a better person and showing my family how being a part of something bigger and greater can positively impact so many lives. I look forward to being part of the future successes of Scott Credit Union.”

I get the pleasure of coming to work every day to work with an exceptional group of people who all know the true meaning of teamwork.
We are just that at Scott Credit Union, a team, and it feels great to be a part of such an amazing team – all working together to provide exceptional service to each other and our membership. I look forward to many more years at Scott Credit Union!”
2015 Employee of the Year
Amanda Sykes, Assistant Head Teller, Collinsville Branch
“It is a great honor to be recognized for my accomplishments and awarded as Employee of the Year. It makes me very proud to know my actions are seen and heard, and appreciated by my fellow employees. I love that Scott Credit Union recognizes the employee of the month, quarter and year. It keeps the momentum up with the employees. It gives them a goal and overall makes someone feel special to receive an award, instead of feeling like they are working for nothing. I work hard and try my best every day with all the members I encounter. I strive to make them feel like a person rather than an account number. I know it definitely made me feel special to even be nominated and considered for an award like this. I must be doing something right and this just confirmed it for me. I greatly appreciate it and feel truly honored to receive such an award.”
