Scott Credit Union Gives Back Over $1 Million to Members Through Annual Bonus Dividend and Loan Interest Rebate
Edwardsville, IL – December 8, 2025 — Scott Credit Union is once again sharing its success with the people who make it possible. Just in time for the holiday season, the credit union’s volunteer board of directors has approved this year’s Bonus Dividend and Loan Interest Rebate, returning over $1 million directly to members.
Frank Padak, President and CEO of Scott Credit Union, emphasized the importance of giving back. “At Scott Credit Union, our members are more than account holders; they’re owners and have a stake in the credit union. When we do well, they should benefit,” Padak said. “This year’s giveback reflects our strong financial performance and the cooperative values that guide us. Over the past 19 years, we’ve proudly returned more than $17.3 million through our Bonus Dividend and Loan Interest Rebate programs.”
The funds are deposited straight into members’ savings accounts as a thank-you for their trust and loyalty. This marks Scott Credit Union’s 34th consecutive year of paying a Bonus Dividend to members. In addition, members have also received a Loan Interest Rebate for 19 years, an uncommon benefit in today’s financial landscape.
“In a year where many households are watching every dollar, we’re proud to show the real value of being part of a member-owned credit union,” Padak added. “We are proud to support our members, strengthen their financial futures, and make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.”
Padak also recognized the SCU team for their role in making the giveback possible. “Our employees work hard every day to deliver smart financial solutions and exceptional service. Their dedication fuels the financial strength that allows us to return value to our members year after year.”
Beyond the annual dividend and rebate, Scott Credit Union continued to invest heavily in local communities throughout 2025. Through the With You Grants program and KMOV Surprise Squad partnership, SCU contributed over $250,000 to schools, nonprofits, and community programs across the Metro East and St. Louis region this year alone. Furthermore, 154 SCU employees dedicated more than 1,300 hours of volunteer service to causes ranging from food pantries and youth programs to animal rescues and military families.
As the holidays approach, Scott Credit Union celebrates another year of gratitude, shared success, community impact, and commitment to delivering exceptional value to members.
