Scott Credit Union Invests $250,000 in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Regional Expansion Project

Edwardsville, IL – August 26, 2026 – Scott Credit Union has committed a $250,000 major gift to the HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Foundation in support of the hospital’s ongoing $116 million campus expansion. This latest investment builds upon Scott Credit Union’s longstanding relationship with St. Elizabeth’s, continuing a legacy of support that includes a prior $250,000 pledge when the O’Fallon medical campus was originally constructed in 2016.

The new contribution will help fund advanced medical technology, expanded emergency and surgical capabilities, and new inpatient facilities designed to strengthen access to high-quality healthcare throughout the Metro East region. 

The gift represents one of the largest ongoing community partnerships in Scott Credit Union’s history and reflects the organization’s dedication to improving the lives of those who live and work in the communities it serves. As a member-owned financial cooperative, Scott Credit Union believes strong communities are built through investments in education, health, financial well-being, and local organizations that create lasting impact.

St. Elizabeth’s multi-phase expansion project, located in O’Fallon, Illinois, will enhance the region’s healthcare infrastructure through the addition of 32 fifth-floor inpatient rooms, eight emergency department treatment bays, a dedicated outpatient surgery and diagnostic center, and state-of-the-art imaging technology. The project will help meet growing healthcare needs while ensuring patients and families can access exceptional care close to home.
