Scott Credit Union Community Foundation Launches 2024 With You Grant Program with $150,000 in Funding for Local Schools
Edwardsville, IL – October 15, 2024 – Scott Credit Union is proud to announce the launch of its 2024 With You Grant Program, designed to support local schools and empower educators to enhance the student experience. This year, the Scott Credit Union Community Foundation has allocated $150,000 in grant funding to assist schools in executing projects that directly benefit students.
“We understand the challenges many schools face when it comes to funding meaningful initiatives,” said Frank Padak, President and CEO of Scott Credit Union. “The With You Grant Program is our way of showing local educators that we are with them, especially in these financially trying times. By increasing the grant funding from $100,000 in the past two years to $150,000 this year, we’re reinforcing our commitment to supporting the future of our communities through education.”
Local schools are encouraged to apply for grant funding by completing a brief online application, available at scu.org/community-foundation/. The application process is simple, and submissions are due by November 9, 2024. A volunteer committee will review all applications, with school names kept anonymous throughout the process. Grant recipients will be notified and publicly announced by December 13, 2024.
Program Highlights:
• With You Grant funding totals $150,000 for 2024.
• Applications are open to schools seeking funding for projects that benefit students directly, with priority given to need-based initiatives.
• Schools requesting over $5,000 in funding are required to submit an itemized listing of project expenses.
• Grant recipients are expected to provide photos of their project and help promote the program for future applicants.
“We believe that investing in education is one of the most important ways we can give back to the community,” added Padak. “That’s why we have provided $205,000 in With You Grants to local schools since 2020. The teachers and administrators who apply for these grants are shaping the next generation, and we’re proud to support their efforts.”
